Capturing Water - Documentary Trailer
The film highlights three organised struggles. You will meet working class activists, bravely mobilising against water restriction devices and water privatisation; an activist farmer litigating to stop city plans to cement over an aquifer that provides affordable food to thousands of people; and a suburban activist tirelessly engaging a city that makes decades of empty promises to stop the sewage flowing into life-giving wetlands. Connecting the water bodies across the city and featuring the City’s views on its infrastructure and water provision responsibilities, the film brings fresh insights into activism and hope and challenges narratives around the myths of Day Zero, a story that is g...

Look at them using EVERYTHING THAT YT CREATED, the computer, the tvs, the vehicles etc etc, the problem is not about any political views the problem is blek inferiority and their jealousy they want to be on top they hate being bottom feeders, that guy lied about what started the riots the YT farmers had blax working on their farms but that wasnt good enough the blax wanted to be the boss but they are not leaders so since they refuse to get along with YT let them starve. Lmbo he said "the problem is that YT thinks blax arent leaders" uh no YT never said that blax can't be leaders but blax have proven that they aren't leaders.
Good comment!!!

**Manifesto for the Liberation of the Oppressed: A Revolutionary Approach to Socio-Economic and Political Reorganization** **Preamble:** Unfortunately, we have repeated and exhausted all options. We have witnessed a White power structure, cushioned by the Black middle-class, which has no interest whatsoever in listening to what the oppressed have to say. The only option left is for us, the oppressed, to organize ourselves. In this struggle, we must take a strategic detour from direct confrontation with the state and White power structures. This moment calls for the formulation of a new path, one that fosters autonomy, sustainability, and revolutionary change, deeply rooted in the liberation of our people from centuries of colonial subjugation and systemic oppression. **I. Socio-Economic Development: A Foundation of Self-Sustaining Communities** 1. **Economic Circulation and Community-Building** We must create and nurture our own systems of economic circulation-one that operates independently from private, state, and multinational corporations. We will construct community-based financial institutions, including community banks, to break free from the economic shackles imposed by foreign and local capitalist forces. These institutions will foster economic independence by supporting local enterprises, facilitating sustainable jobs, and building a framework for socio-economic self-determination. 2. **Community Empowerment through Education and Skill Development** We will establish community schools that focus on practical and relevant skill training to address immediate needs. These institutions will not be confined to theoretical knowledge but will emphasize vocational skills that equip the oppressed for self-sufficiency. - **Computer Literacy** - **Agricultural Programs** (to reclaim land and food sovereignty) - **Engineering and Architecture** (focused on non-theoretical, practical applications for community growth) - **Medical and Health Services** (building health infrastructures to serve the people) - **Skilled Trades** (plumbing, carpentry, etc.) These schools will be free of charge and must operate under a strict ethos of community engagement. Graduates will be deployed directly into the communities they come from, working not only to build economic infrastructure but to act as agents of change, cultivating the revolutionary consciousness necessary for total liberation. 3. **Self-Determination and Reproductive Labor** We will build and sustain small-scale, light industrial factories to ensure the production of goods that support community development. These factories, though modest, will enable us to break away from reliance on foreign imports and ensure that economic activities benefit the community and its workers. The cycle of labor and production will be designed to be self-reproductive, creating lasting and meaningful employment for the oppressed. **II. Political Organization: Preparing for Total Liberation** 1. **Political Education and Grassroots Mobilization** Every facet of this revolution will be underscored by a rigorous program of political education. Our communities will be organized and mobilized to dismantle the oppressive structures-state, corporate, and societal-that sustain the current system. This education will be the cornerstone of our political strategy, arming the people with the knowledge, analysis, and tools necessary to overthrow the systems of oppression that govern our lives. 2. **Security and Self-Defense** As we move toward full-scale revolution, we will not be defenseless. Our security apparatus, rooted in community solidarity, will be organized and trained to protect the oppressed. The establishment of a military and self-defense program will serve as the final line of protection for our people, ensuring the safety of our liberation efforts and the defense of our communities as we confront the forces of oppression. **III. A Revolutionary Confrontation: The Moment of Liberation** Once the infrastructure of our self-sustaining communities is firmly established, once the seeds of political and economic organization are planted and nourished, the time for direct confrontation with the forces of oppression will arrive. This moment will be met with the full strength of our collective power: the economic, educational, and military mobilization of the oppressed people. The final push will not be one of mere resistance but of total revolution, where we will storm the gates of the old order and dismantle the systems that have perpetuated our suffering for generations. **Conclusion: A Call to Action** This manifesto is a call to every oppressed person to unite, organize, and fight for total liberation. It is a call to reclaim the dignity and self-determination that has been stolen from us. We are not passive victims but active agents in the struggle for a world free from colonial oppression and capitalist exploitation. Let us build together, stand together, and, when the moment arrives, confront the enemy with the full force of our collective will. Aluta Continua!
Cyril only became president 2018. Thi massacre occured under Jacob Zuma, start pointing fingers at the right places guyzini
Here in 2024 and im fucking livid. INNOCENT PEOPLE ALWAYS EXPLOITED. Its cowardly to attack people who are simply wanting to return home.
How did it work out for you after supporting Mugabe? People need to be careful of what they wish for. The very people that Mugabe and his party said they would support and uplift but instead he only filled his own coffers. Like all dictators he raped the country he said he supported.
Complete and egregious disregard for sustainable and effective skills transfer has doomed Zimbabwe and many countries at large (in Africa). I'm shocked to learn that the most skilled and knowledgeable black farm workers, who worked for successful white farmers, were also excluded from land allocation because they were considered "children of the white men" by fellow black land grabbers. Ridiculous.
Karma
Though it sad for any life to be lost. Few critical observations: 1. Trigger is a Salary incriment strike, how would have the pungers and spears etc. Ensure that the workers get the incriment? 2. The tension initially was between the workers and the union, resulting in 2 dead. Raised the tension....... 3. The fight between NUM and workers, gave AMCU(a union seeking to gain members and be the main union) the opportunity to attack NUM. I wonder if Matungwas actions were genuine, or he was also motivated by hitting NUM at its lowest and gaining members for AMCU. further tensions raised. 4. With tensions already high, police come into a volatile space and attempt to disarm a people carrying deadly weapons, coming into a situation where people had already been killed. The workers REFUSED(even singing, 'you strengthen your balls, your nothing') - Are we saying police had not right to disarm them? Lawless state? 5. That interaction resulted in police being killed, which then resulted in the tension between police and the workers. Are we not going to question the workers actions and ask, 'where is their accountability for their own actions?' The workers were surrounded by police yet they believed they were above the law and the police couldn't touch them. Further, some workers had guns and fired at police, again, do we still maintain that the workers were butchered? When for me, clear evidence exists of some workers, playing an instigating role and not cooperating with Police. When Police act, we cry of their heavy handedness and when they don't act, we cry that they are useless and their role is to maintain law and order. 🤷🏽♂️
God bless you Shaban Ji, I feel really bad for him, he deserves more blessings and recognition❤

15:30 the pain he's feeling is probably far less compared to the pain African people felt when their lands were just taken from them.
WIMSA white man still robbing, give the BUSHMAN so that we can buy OUR own land back. Misrepresent from van riebeeck with no morals
@Shiroya-Rumika. Botswana did not have any significant colonizer population. It was a protectorate. It's saving grace was that diamonds were discovered in relatively recent times and post independence. Until the discovery of diamonds Botswana was just a dusty location that held little interest to whites. It was their saving grace that diamonds were not discovered and mined during the colonial era and consequently had a negligible white population to cause strife and hoard the wealth. They have been able to build their country with their wealth. Botswana continues to have a comparatively small white settler population and indeed other immigrants from Asia etc., and I would posit that is one of the key reasons it such a peaceful, cohesive country that can focus on its growth. Absence of parasites and divisive cultures.
POVERTY. is not Freedom. Just another Begging Bowl in Africa created from IDEOLOGY. "Land is perceived to be WEALTH however its a BURDEN when TAXED" "WORKING and PUTTING BACK INTO the LAND CREATES SUSTAINED WEALTH"

Man I am watching this on August 16, 2024 and it brings me to tears with each watch. This documentary on the Marikana massacre is a powerful reminder of a tragic and pivotal moment in history. It's vital that we never forget what happened on August 16, 2012, where the lives of 34 miners were cut short in a brutal act of violence. The events at Marikana highlight deep issues of inequality, labor rights, and systemic injustice that must remain in our collective memory. By remembering Marikana, we honor the victims and their families, and we commit to addressing the social and economic disparities that led to such a devastating event. Let this be a call to action for greater justice and accountability, ensuring that the sacrifices made are not in vain and that we strive for a future where such atrocities are a thing of the past.
How did we just move on just like that🤦🏾♂️??
